What Is the TEST Workspace and How To Access It?

1. What Is a TEST Workspace?

In Intercom, there are two types of workspaces: Product and TEST.

  • The Product workspace is for real usage and customer-facing interactions.

  • The Test workspace is for internal use and training purposes.

You can test ANYTHING in the Test workspace without worrying about affecting our real customers. The Test workspace is designed as a pure playground for Intercom.

2. How Can I Ensure That I Am In a TEST Workspace?

We have two straightforward ways to identify your workspace type:

1. Check the Messenger, Help Center, and Workspace theme.

2. Check the top bar of any Intercom internal page.

Production

Nothing special.

3. How to access the TEST workspace?

You have two ways to access our Intercom test workspace:

  1. Open Profile > Workspace, then click on the TEST workspace name.

  2. Or save and open the URL directly: https://app.intercom.com/a/inbox/stisd6p3/inbox
