How Do I Learn Intercom?

Since we are now all-in on Intercom, it's crucial to learn how to use it correctly and effectively.

Intercom is a powerful tool that allows you to communicate with your customers in real-time. Whether you're looking to provide support, gather feedback, or engage with your users, Intercom has you covered.

1. Learn by Following Bill's Basic Training

By following Bill's basic training, you should gain a basic understanding of how things work and be able to use Intercom to create some basic content in the playground. For a more detailed and in-depth learning experience with Intercom, please refer to the next section: Learn with Intercom itself.

2. Learn with Intercom itself

Intercom, as a comprehensive customer success platform, has very user-friendly self-service learning materials.

2.1. Click the 'Learn' Button On Every Page

There is a 'Learn' button for every feature. When you access a new feature, find the 'Learn' button and click it to access the corresponding learning materials for that feature. After reading or watching the materials, you will have a basic understanding of how to use the feature.

2.2. Ask Questions Directly to Their Fin AI Agent

After learning the basics, if you still have questions, ask their Fin AI agent directly, and you will get 60% to 70% of your questions resolved.

To ask a question, click to open their Messenger and find 'Ask a question' button, or navigate to the 'Messages' page in the bottom bar. Then, their AI agent, Fin, will prompt a greeting, and you can ask your question directly. Wait for a moment, and the AI agent will provide an answer.

If the answer resolves your problem, that's great! If not, keep asking and refine the quality of your questions. Alternatively, you can click the 'Talk to a person' button at the end of the AI's response to connect with Intercom Support and get further assistance.

2.3. Search For Answers in Their Help Center

As an alternative to asking questions, you can search the Intercom Help Center by either click the button below to open it directly or searching within the Messenger.
